Within six (6) months of appointment of Water Utility Worker, must obtain a Commercial Driver’s License with no restrictions and required endorsement to operate City equipment.  Within six (6) months of appointment of Water Utility Worker, must obtain a certified test date from the State of California Department of Public Health for the Water Treatment (T-1) certification or the Water Distribution (D-1) certificate.  Within eighteen (18) months of appointment to Water Utility Worker, must obtain the State of California Department of Public Health Water Treatment (T-1) certificate and Water Distribution (D-1) certificate.  Must maintain valid certification as a condition of continued employment.

Transit Operator I: A Valid California Class B Commercial Driver’s License with passenger, and airbrakes endorsement and must obtain a General Public Paratransit Vehicle (GPPV) certification within a year of hire.

Transit Operator II: A valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License with passenger, and airbrakes endorsement and a General Public Paratransit Vehicle (GPPV) certification are Transit Operator II is required to keep all licenses and or certificates up to date.  Failure to maintain the required certificates and or licenses necessary to perform the duties of this position will be subject to reversion to a Transit Operator I position along with corresponding salary adjustment.
